Business Analyst Intern

Business Analyst Intern (BAI) is a part-time position, which allows you to acquire experience with McKinsey while at university.

We welcome applications from undergraduate students (bachelor's degree) with an outstanding performance record who are 1.5 to 2 years away from graduation from a renowned school. To apply, click here.

Location and Business Analyst programs

If you have a bachelor's or a master's degree and up to 2 years of professional experience, you can apply to McKinsey as Location Analyst or Business Analyst. Depending on your experience and qualifications as well as your interviews with us, we may recommend which role is the best fit.

The Location Analyst is a full time position that trains you in McKinsey's tools, methodologies and working style - and offers an unrivalled springboard for a high-impact career. Following the successful completion of the Location Analyst program, you can move to the Business Analyst position.

Over the 2-3 years duration of our Business Analyst program, you will be exposed to a variety of top management issues, have the opportunity to work with highly talented individuals from our offices, practices and clients, and have lasting impact on some of the largest corporations in Latin America through our work with them.

Upon the successful completion of the BA program, you may then have a variety of options: gain further work experience for 1 year in another office or practice inside McKinsey, take an educational leave to obtain your MBA (financially supported by McKinsey), or move directly into a Fellow/Junior Associate role. Junior Associate and Associate

Junior Associates and Associates lead key portions of McKinsey engagements, combining technical and analytical excellence to help solve their piece of the overall client puzzle. They work directly with senior client leaders to implement change. These roles are suitable for experienced professionals with between 2 to 8 years solid work experience, or for students currently studying towards a doctorate (PhD), law (LLB), medical (MD), non-business master's degree, or MBA. Public and Social Sector Analyst and Associate

McKinsey's Latin America Public and Social Sector Delivery Hub (LatAm PSS Hub) works closely with governments and social sector institutions addressing complex public and societal challenges. The vision of the LatAm PSS Hub is to deliver meaningful and sustainable impact to Latin American citizens and government (e.g., improved infrastructure plans, high performing schools, efficient health systems, employment strategies for underprivileged sectors, increased investment and economic growth, improved government delivery capabilities). The LatAm PSS Hub is looking to hire consultants in our Buenos Aires office.

Consultants work on projects that typically stretch over several months (e.g., 6-24 months), focus on strategy or implementation/delivering results, and have an emphasis on coaching and building capabilities of client teams.

Depending on skills and experience, LatAm PSS Hub consultants work on varying areas which could include: problem solving, content specialization, driving delivery, performance management, capability building.

If you have 2-4 years of experience working in or providing services to the public and social sector, you are highly encouraged to apply for our Analyst position. Analysts within the Public and Social Sector practice are eligible to qualify for an MPA/MPP sponsorhip.

If you have 4-8 years of experience in or providing services to the public and social sector, or if you hold an MPA/MPP degree you are highly encouraged to apply for our Associate position.

Junior Specialist in Lean Manufacturing and Service Operations

We are looking for talented individuals to strengthen our team of consultants working in Lean Manufacturing and Service Operations, part of our Operations Practice. Our clients include leading companies worldwide from a wide range of industries. We offer their managements support and advice on strategic and operational questions relating to Lean Management.

This position involves working in teams of consultants in the role of expert in engineering, manufacturing or service operations, helping clients to achieve new performance highs. You will make an important contribution to the analysis, design, and implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Management approaches, developing tailor-made solutions and working closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results. In addition to working directly with clients, you will also share your experience and insights with colleagues internationally, thereby expanding our knowledge and refining our approaches in the field of Lean Management and Service Operations.

The Operations Excellence Program (OEP) is a 2-year training program in Buenos Aires. You will acquire the necessary knowledge to help companies achieve excellence in their operations. Along with other members of the OEP community, you will dedicate one day a week to functional training and knowledge development under the leadership of our operations experts.

We welcome professionals with 3-7 years of experience leading improvement initiatives with a renowned consulting firm or working in the general industry, functional depth preferred in lean, operations and project management, an excellent university degree - bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering field. Advanced degree in related fields or MBA is considered a plus.
